In these times, the voice of another human, especially one you cared for, was magic and when they spoke to you, you sat on the edge of every word, desperate to jump onto the edge of the next You longed for the camaraderie of others. How things had changed was astounding. Running for your life is not as glamorous as some people think Ok, nobody really thinks that There is sicknesses that have bodily fluids flowing from all ends Toilet paper and even toilets are hard to come by In fact, they re damn near extinct But when the alternative is becoming a manmade working zombie fashioned at the hands of the governmentlack of toiletries ain t so bad Not bad at all.Petra is up to her eyeballs in sickness at the camp, constantly cleaning and taking care of others who are plagued by the illness In her free time, she worries about Lawson and if he is ok She also worries if he feels the same about her as she does him Or wonders if she is just another Grainer Someone he can help out of their situation and send on their way to a better life never to look twice at again But now that Lawson is back, things turn interesting Now it is time to see how he really feels I didn t know what exactly it ...

Ok so here s the thing for how short this book is I would like to have a clear picture of where this book is headed and I don t see that I just don t want this to turn into a hot mess in the last two short novellas because the author is trying to finish everything up really quick.

ARC Review Before I start my review of this amazing story, I have to tell y all a few things I ve learned from my girl Lila s book One The I read about Lawson the I fall in love with him I honestly didn t think I could have a favorite book boy out of all of Lila s yummy leading men, but there s just something about Law sigh Two Note to self Clean out my husband s closet and begin to hoard as much medicine as humanly possible, when the hub s closet is full move on to the children s Now when I say medicine, I mean everything from Advil to prescription drugs The last and most important thing I learned while reading Forced Autonomy is two words TOILET PAPER You can never have enough toilet paper, trust me y all We are thrown right back into Lila s raw and sinister world in Phase Two Lawson is out scouting looking for any survivors he may be able to bring back to the safety of the camp, but his heart is consumed with everything Petra He s confused and a bit lost because he s never felt this way about anyone and wonders if there is a place for love in cold world he lives in Unable to take the distance, he caves and heads back to camp and Petra sigh Meanwhile, back at camp, Petra has been going through the motions of her daily chores while trying not to think of Law not that it s working She becomes distracted when a nasty virus hits the camp, remember what I said abou...

4.5 starsI am loving this series Ok I am loving Lawson but I am loving the series as well.Phase 2 takes picks up right where we left off Lawson is away looking for survivors to bring back to camp While he is away he still cannot seem to get a certain someone off his mind He decides to head back a little early because he wants to get back to camp and to Petra Meanwhile Petra is back at camp taking care of those who have become ill It s a dirty job but unfortunately for Petra someone has to do it Lawson is never far from her mind She needs to know that he is ok When Lawson does come back we start to see how these two really feel about each other But there is something or should I say someone, standing in their way You can sense the feelings that these to have for each other but they know they they need to keep their feelings hidden Lawson was warned in Phase 1 and that warning has not been forgotten by either one of them We see a little of Odin and while I am still trying to figure him out we do get a little but of a glimpse into what is going on with him What I do know is that he is the man that you know not to trust I love Petra and Lawson I love that we see them express their feelings for each other a little in this installment We see the sweet side of Lawson and how much he cares for Petra When he finds a place with supplies, he finds himself gathering items that he knows Petr...

This is a series I can not get enough of, in Forced Autonomy the United Nations have taken over the United States and now the U.S looks like and is run like a third world country After the president is assassinated the U.N begins lobotomies on the people to control them But there is those few that either escaped the cities before they were caught or those that the lobotomies did not work on Forced Autonomy is told in two character views Lawson and Petra In phase 1 we are introduced to Lawson the guy who looks for those people in the cities that are hiding out or going through the motions in hope to not get caught, Lawson s job is to find them and hope they will follow him out of the city to what he feels is freedom In Phase 1, Petra is his target and when he finally finds her she tries to shank him, but ends up believing him when he says freedom is just a short drive away In Phase 2 we find that freedom is not always what we think it is and possibly just as worse as being under U.N rule What I love about this novella series is it is fast paced, a great love story that meshes well in the story and does not take over it, and the mysteries and dangers that lurk throughout the story When I describe this novella series to people I tell them it is similar to the show The Walking Dead without the actual zombies, meaning there is ...

I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.Find this review and many at have to say that it s kind of funny how the book world is going the opposite direction from the television world Where once episodic television series are increasingly being consumed in binge watching sessions much like reading a whole book at once, now what would have been a whole book is being split into novella episodes so you get teased a few chapters at a time But I digress, and I m really just whining because the next volume isn t out yet WaaaaaaAgain I find myself mostly laughing and a little grossed out by the honest views on hygiene and health in the new world Because let s face it, if the stuff hit the fan and we had to go back to basics of survival, the little things like maintaining basic supplies and sanitation are going to be crucial to staying alive as millions who have died on the Oregon Trail can tell you, dy...
